POSITION: Community Specialist Assistant/Part Time Temporary

SUMMARY: The Part-Time Temporary Community Specialist Assistant position plays a key role on our team. You will be supporting your assigned person and their support team with their transitional work needs. This non-exempt position with a salary range of $17.00 – $18.00 an hour. Position will receive the benefit of earned safe and sick time after 80 hours worked.

Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:

Working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:45 AM to 3:15 PM, 13 to 15 hours a week expected
Activities will be at the Arden Hills Cub Foods in the break room, assisting an assigned person with making healthy choices related to a seizure protocol
Do the required paperwork using a laptop (training provided) and attend all meetings and training as required.
Administering assigned medication and documenting (training provided)
Communicating with employment support team and general support team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to maintain a consistent schedule
Ability to redirect and de-escalate, as needed
Physical requirements: administer medications, follow seizure protocol
Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and relationships.
Ability to have and maintain a clean driving record

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

HS Diploma or GED required
No experience is necessary as training will be provided but must possess a belief that every person should be treated with
dignity and access to work if they choose.
